The
2K School Team competition is being offered as Get in Gear examines the
structure of a training program for schools offered in the hopes of
creating a more timely and current means of offering training. Your
registration fee includes a pre-run warm-up, complimentary
t-shirt, post-run prize giveaways, finisher medallion, post-race food.
Awards
- Minimum number of participants for school team to be
eligible for awards (5)
- Gift
certificates will be awarded to the Top 2 School Teams with the most
participation
$250 (either cash or gift certificate) to school team
with highest volume of participants
$150 (either cash or gift certificate) to school team with second
highest volume of participants
Packet Pickup
- 2K bib numbers are to be picked up individually
either Friday, April 26 or Saturday, April 27, at the
white T-shirt tent.
Race Day
- NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION on Saturday, April 27
- 2K School Teams can meet as a group if needed at the tent marked
with the 2K Banner

The 2K run will be
timed with a clock at the finish line but will not be scored.
All School Teams must
have a team captain who will enter the school as part of the school team
competition. After the team captain registers, then all team members can
register
and join the school team.
Team Captains:
To get started with set up of your 2K School Team, you will need to
register yourself first.
Go to
GetMeRegistered
and select the 2K Fun Run School Team event.
Once you have completed your registration, the school team
name will be listed in the drop down box for team members to select when
they register for the 2K School Team event.
If you will not be
participating in the 2K event, send an email to
gigofficemanager@qwestoffice.net
and include the School Team name you prefer to use. The team will then
be set up for you by the Get in Gear Office Manager. You will be
contacted once the team has been set up.
In order to
participate under a 2K School Team, members have to register for the “2K
School Team” event. Team captains can view their team roster at any time
at this link:

If your school team is not listed at online registration, you should
contact your Team Captain. Please select the 2K School Team Event.
All 2K School Team
participants will pick up their bib numbers individually at
Packet Pickup on Friday, April 26, located in the pavilion at Minnehaha
Park from Noon to 8:00 PM. 2K bib numbers can also be picked up
Saturday, April 27, starting at 6:30 AM at the T-Shirt Tent in Minnehaha
Park. There will be a tent set up for 2K School Teams as a meeting
place. |
