THE 2nd ANNUAL HEIDI’S ANGELS FUN RUN/WALK Please join us for the 31st Annual Get In Gear 10k, 5k and 2k Run/Walk on Saturday, April 26th, 2008 at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, MN and become one of Heidi’s Angels. Heidi Ann McFarlane has been battling an unknown brain disease since June of 2005. A once active marathon runner, Heidi has been physically incapacitated for more than two years. In fact, Heidi has not stood upright on her own two feet since late 2005 and has not spoken a clear understandable word since June of 2006. Having been in and out of hospitals since November of last year, Heidi currently resides at Texas Terrace Nursing Home in St. Louis Park, MN. Heidi has always been a wonderful inspiration to those around her, but the strength she continues to demonstrate is nothing short of spectacular. Without speaking a word, Heidi continues to inspire great selflessness by those whose lives she touches. The daily courage, strength and determination Heidi exhibits in her fight to regain the vitality she lost has inspired the creation of “Heidi’s Angels”. Heidi’s Angels is made up of caring people who love Heidi and wish to support her through any means possible.
