Get In Gear
2008 Corporate Team of the Year

DRC's Success
Learn from one
company’s success! Data Recognition Corporation (DRC)
promoted a company-wide food and fund drive for Second
Harvest in conjunction with a well-communicated push to
get employees to participate in Get in Gear in 2007 and
2008. The results were impressive!
Three locations participated, bringing
in more than 725 pounds of food and $7,401, which
was matched by Get inGear, making the end impact a
stunning $14,802!
-----
“Team DRC has participated in the Get in
Gear/Second Harvest Heartland event for the past two
years. Our participation and donation numbers have grown
since last year due to the support of our employees and
their families and friends. We have opened up our
corporate team registration to employee’s family members
and friends which has brought more participation.
We also reimburse employees and their
family members for half of the Get in Gear registration
fee. A month before the event, we kick off a food
donation drive at all of our Minnesota locations. DRC
has also made a commitment to employees by matching all
cash/check donations collected by employees. Our
participants . . . love making a contribution to a great
cause while getting some physical activity in at the
same time.”

"Thanks for putting the race on this year. The race turned out great
and the Seagate team enjoyed running in the corporate challenge. I
am definitely looking forward to next year's race! By the way, its
one of the best run races that I have ever done and this includes
major Bike, Inline, Ski and Running races around the midwest."
"Thanks for making the corporate involvement so fun and efficient!
Everybody had so much fun and are excited to do it again next year!"
The Corporate Get in Gear division is a
division that will allow the corporate participants to be pulled out of
the overall results for a separately awarded corporate results division
(but also included in the overall results).
These results will be posted on our
results page with the overall results and awards
will be
distributed accordingly.
All corporate teams must have one
team captain who will enter the company as part of the corporate
division. After the team captain registers,
then all team members can
register and join the corporate team.
Team Captains: If your company will
absorb the cost of all of your team entries, you must contact the Get in Gear Race Director for set-up of a coupon code to allow your
corporate participants to register without payment. A coupon
code will be issued to any corporation processing a minimum of 10
